We are delighted to announce that Jackie Wilding will be celebrating her 40-year anniversary this year at Bryden Johnson and, in addition to this will be taking on the role of Managing Director from this month.
“I feel incredibly proud to have worked at Bryden Johnson for 40 years – a company that celebrates its history but also continues to always move forward and
think of new ways to embrace technology and look at fresh ways of working.
“I’m extremely lucky to have worked with so many Inspiring people both within the team at Bryden Johnson and in our wide range of clients and contacts. I have made some friends for life and I am still working with some of the clients that I first met in 1980! The business community in Croydon is a very supportive and loyal one, and relationships have always been at the heart of everything we do.
“Over the last 40 years many things have changed considerably, not least the fact that many more women are continuing to enter the accounting profession and the number of women starting their own businesses still continues to grow. I remember well the change to independent taxation which allowed a married woman, for the first time, to do her own Tax Return 30 years ago!”
Jackie joined Bryden Johnson in 1980 from school, and qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 1986. During these 40 years she has seen accountancy transform from manual books and records to computerization and now the digital revolution with cloud accounting. As well as enjoying a fulfilling and challenging career, Jackie also met and married her husband Lee, and has two grown up sons and two grandchildren that she adores.
As part of Jackie’s new role she will head up the Bryden Johnson Payroll Department and is looking forward to bringing with her a fresh outlook and some new ideas as businesses head back into the office gradually, and into a new way of working during the pandemic. The leadership team at Bryden Johnson work very much as a team, and the change of role will be an ideal opportunity to re-focus and re-adjust as we take on the challenges ahead.
“I appreciate both the financial and emotional challenges we have all faced over the last six months, but I would also like us all to take the opportunity to think of ways to re-energize our businesses and embrace the changes as we move forward”.
