Although business owners can traditionally regard the annual audit and preparation of annual accounts as a ‘necessary evil’, we take the opportunity to add real value. Our role extends beyond that of pure audit in that we aim to work with clients to identify opportunities for financial improvement and new possibilities for growth.
Credibility and Assurance
An audit is a credibility statement as to the reliability and quality of your financial statements. You gain an independent and objective opinion, carried out on a test basis, to provide reasonable assurance that they are free from material mis-statement.
As part of our standard audit service we always have a pre year-end audit and tax planning meeting with you. This enables us to identify any tax saving opportunities and facilitate the overall efficiency of the audit process.
Besides helping you meet statutory requirements, we also conduct a review of your financial and management systems. This can often result in us identifying potential problem areas and recommending opportunities to improve your business performance. We discuss the issues openly and help you plan and implement agreed solutions.
Bryden Johnson provide certainty and comfort to our clients by offering fixed price agreements for our professional charges and agreed delivery timescales. Our fees and the timetable of work is agreed during the pre year-end meeting. We aim to turn around all audit assignments – including charity audits – within a six-week period, and furthermore, within 2-3 months of the company’s account period end.
