On 4 October the Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced a further extension of the incentive grants for employers hiring apprentices. The scheme, which offers grants of £3,000 to employers taking on a new apprentice, was originally due to close on 30th September 2021, but has been extended until January next year.
There is still time to apply for the £3,000 payment for apprentices with an employment start date of 1 April 2021 to 30 September 2021. Applications for this period will end on 30 November 2021.
The next deadline will be 31 January 2022 for apprentices that have employments dates from 1 October 2021 to 31 January 2022.
