BRYDEN JOHNSON ARE MOVING FOR MENS HEALTH

This month the Bryden Johnson team are moving their way to 125 miles to both celebrate 125 years of Bryden Johnson, and to raise awareness for men’s health as part of Move for Movember. One of the areas that Movember UK focuses on is Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.

Exercise has been shown to help improve mental and physical health in a variety of ways. Regular physical activity has been shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve sleep, and reduce stress levels. In addition, exercise can help boost self-esteem and confidence, increase social interaction, and provide a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

One of the ways that exercise helps with mental health is by increasing the production of endorphins, which are the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins are released during exercise, and can help to reduce feelings of pain and stress, while promoting feelings of happiness and well-being.

Another way that exercise can benefit mental health is through its ability to reduce inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation has been linked to a variety of mental health disorders, including depression and anxiety and exercise has been shown to reduce inflammation, which can help to alleviate symptoms.

Finally, exercise can be a great way to manage stress and anxiety. Physical activity can help to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol, which can lead to a reduction in feelings of anxiety and tension. In addition, exercise can sometimes provide a healthy outlet for negative emotions, which can help to reduce feelings of stress and improve overall mental well-being.
